The Desert Foothills Transit System (DFTS), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is committed to ensuring that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.

Title VI Notice to the Public

DFTS operates its programs and services without regard to race, color, and national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. Any person who believes she or he has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with DFTS.

Notice Locations:

• This notice is posted in the interior of all DFTS fixed-route vehicles.
• Public notices are available at the DFTS administrative office and major transit stops.

How to File a Title VI Complaint

If you believe you have been subjected to discrimination, you have the right to file a formal complaint.

1. Timeframe: Complaints must be filed within 180 days of the alleged discriminatory event.
2. Submission: Please download and complete our Title VI Complaint Form (linked below) and submit it to our Board President, Cameron Kuniej.
3. Process: The DFTS Board of Directors will review and investigate all formal complaints and provide a written response within 60 days.
